Despite my infancy I remember hearing this everywhere. Or maybe because of my infancy; its bubbly disco-pop is almost childishly simple and memorable. But lest I do Ottowan a disservice, at least it’s more complex and challenging than their previous big hit, another disco track but one that literally had to spell it out in its title.
Daft Punk fans may be aware that the producer behind this duo was the father of Thomas Bangalter. So, no income from ‘Hands Up’ and ‘D.I.S.C.O.’, no music lessons or computers for young Thomas, no Daft Punk. Makes you think, doesn’t it?
