Bloodhound Gang - 'The Bad Touch'

As I write this, today’s schedule on the Discovery Channel consists mostly of Wheeler Dealers, Alaskan Bush People, and UFO Witness. But hey, whatever turns you on!

The funky, radio-friendly goofiness of its zero-entendre chorus is what ensured global one-hit wonder status for ‘The Bad Touch’. Its verses are just tiring, laboured, puerile innuendo, though, and its dull white rap-rock is just a bouncier spring-break iteration of the whiny, chippy, repressed ’00s US frat boy crassness of Limp Bizkit to come. Giving the game away, though, is the video, which indulges in blatant homophobia, sexism, xenophobia and all-round cheap nastiness. The band themselves were notably unapologetic about it, and even the most cursory read about their antics reveals other episodes of moronic attention-seeking offensiveness. Quick, change the channel.
