Elvis fans: do you stick to the ’50s pre-army rock n’ roll stuff, i.e. Good Elvis, or are you seriously telling me you stan for Daniel O’Donnell Elvis too? I had forgotten this lump of kitsch misogyny, on which Elvis does his Elvis impersonation while wading up to his knees in fetid pop-cultural sexism.
The change in tempo is a catchy trick, but otherwise this is tragic stuff. Honestly, Elfish, you make being the devil in disguise sound like it’s a bad thing, when in fact this woman is patently light years cooler than you. You used to be cool too, albeit briefly. Then you joined the army and sold out to corporate Christian conservative America. Wind in your neck.
