Julie-Anne Dineen - 'Do You Believe'

I haven’t been able to find this single in physical, digital or any other format, so this post is currently a placeholder until I hopefully do. You can help, and maybe even have your name noted here in my eternal gratitude. Since Julie-Anne Dineen was from Limerick, I’m especially making doe eyes towards you, her fellow Shannonsiders – we Kerry folk always get on well with you, so help a neighbour out.

‘Do You Believe’ by Julie-Anne Dineen is a notable Irish number one to document, not only for completeness but because this will be the last Irish chart-topping single by a solo Irish woman for a whole 14 years, until Jazzy’s ‘Giving Me’ in 2023. Was it because Irish female solo acts just didn’t release any singles at all for 14 years? Could it have been that Irish radio stations were enthusiastically playing new Irish female solo acts morning, noon and night but the Irish public wasn’t interested? I think you know the answers there.

If you have ‘Do You Believe’ by Julie-Anne Dineen in any format, I’ll be eternally grateful for your help – drop me a line at contact@irishnumberones or DM me on the socials (Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon) @irishnumberones or even leave a comment here. Thanks in advance!
