Flo Rida – ‘Whistle’

Have I been too harsh on Flo Rida and his Guetta-flavoured sub-Black Eyed Peas output? After all, ‘Whistle’ has that catchy, likeable whistling hook and a lighter, breezier sound. Maybe Flo Rida has developed as an artist and a human being.

No, of course I haven’t been too harsh. ‘Whistle’ is laboured, cretinous innuendo about getting blowjobs. The whistle-hook thing had already recently been done on ‘Moves Like Jagger’. And the video (below) is a study in leering at women’s bikini-clad behinds. Once again, I engage with a Flo Rida track only to end up with dead brain cells trickling down my nostrils.
